SHE MOVE SHE
SHE MOVE SHE brought together eight women to investigate questions about how our movements might move with absence and difference. Emerging from decisions negotiated by the performers’ within established constraints during each performance, the dance reflects on how bodies are set into motion—by social movements, by calls to action, by the voices and bodies of others, and by voices and bodies who are not here. SHE MOVE SHE works within minimalist and task-based aesthetics to render an experiment in sociality between the bodies on stage, the bodies of the audience, and the bodies of those who are absent.
Because the performance space in which SHE MOVE SHE was presented was not wheelchair accessible, the production was videoed and livestreamed via the Denison.edu website all three nights.
